How It Works

During your first visit, you will be able to browse through our diverse selection of granites and marbles from all over the world. We’ll gladly make our recommendation as to the type of material that would suite your needs and taste the best and we’ll also give you a free quote. When you are ready to do business with us, we will:

• Send one of our experienced template makers to make an exact template of the work area(s)
• Fabricate the pieces here at Star Marble USA.
• Deliver and install the fabricated piece(s) within 14 business days
  

Granite vs. Marble

GRANITE is an igneous stone formed by the cooling of molten rock over 300 million years ago. It has been valued for thousands of years for its great durability, hardness and density. These qualities lend themselves to the stone being polished, a process widely used to enhance the appearance and natural beauty of granite.

MARBLE is a metamorphic rock resulting from the metamorphism of limestone, composed mostly of calcite (a crystalline form of calcium carbonate, CaCO3). It is extensively used for sculpture, as a building material, and in many other applications. The word 'marble' is colloquially used to refer to many other stones that are capable of taking a high polish.
